Terms of Service

    Effective August 17, 2026 · Last Updated August 17, 2026 · Version 1.0

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FoodTruckScout.com and all related services (the "Service") operated by Food Truck Scout (CLK Media Co., LLC DBA GrubLaunch ("FTS", "we", "us", or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you purchase a subscription, the billing and subscription terms in these Terms apply. If we create additional policies for specific features, those policies are incorporated by reference.

    2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. To create a business account, claim a listing, or purchase a subscription, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts and to represent a business. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

    3. Accounts

    • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
    • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
    • You must not share your account credentials or allow unauthorized access.
    • If your business has team members, you are responsible for their actions on the platform.
    • You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or security breach.
    • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

    4. Platform Role

Important: Food Truck Scout is a technology, discovery, advertising, directory, and marketplace platform. We are not a party to transactions between users.

    FTS does not:

    • Own, operate, or employ any food truck, venue, or food park listed on the platform
    • Prepare, sell, or deliver food
    • Guarantee that a truck will be at a stated location at a stated time
    • Guarantee menu accuracy, pricing, food availability, or business hours
    • Guarantee venue opportunity quality, attendance, sales, or revenue
    • Guarantee that bookings, applications, or opportunities will be fulfilled
    • Act as employer, agent, broker, or contracting party between users

Food truck operators, venues, parks, advertisers, and consumers remain responsible for their own transactions, conduct, compliance, representations, and decisions.

    5. Listings & Information Accuracy

FTS aggregates information from multiple sources, including business owners, users, public websites, and automated processing. Information may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate. Food truck schedules and locations are especially time-sensitive. You should independently verify important details before traveling or making decisions. FTS does not guarantee that a truck will be at a stated location merely because it appears on a schedule.

    7. Recommendations & Ask Scout

FTS provides algorithmic and randomized recommendations through features like Ask Scout, Grub Roulette, and Group Pick. These are discovery tools, not endorsements. Results may be randomized, filtered by your preferences, or influenced by location and listing data. Rankings do not guarantee quality. Inclusion does not guarantee suitability. FTS does not guarantee your satisfaction with any recommendation. You remain responsible for your own dining decisions. Sponsored businesses do not receive preferential treatment in Ask Scout recommendations.

    8. Ratings, Reviews & Community Content

If you submit ratings or reviews, you agree to:

    • Share honest experiences and opinions
    • Not manipulate ratings, votes, or rankings
    • Not submit fake, defamatory, or harassing content
    • Not post illegal content or content that infringes others' rights
    • Disclose conflicts of interest (such as reviewing your own business)

We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that violates these Terms, but we do not promise to review every submission.

    9. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to FTS. By submitting content, you grant FTS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, format, resize, display, distribute, and create technical adaptations of your content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service. You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload the content and that the content does not infringe any third party's rights.

    10. Business Listings & Claiming

FTS may create listings before the business owner joins the platform. Business owners can claim their listing to update, verify, or correct information. Claiming a listing grants you management access to the profile; it does not transfer ownership of FTS-created data, platform analytics, or FTS intellectual property. We reserve the right to maintain factual directory information about businesses where legally permissible, even if the business requests removal.

    11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the Food Truck Scout name, Scout character, logos, branding, application code, UI design, databases, proprietary taxonomy, platform-created content, original graphics, proprietary algorithms, and compilations, is owned by FTS and protected by intellectual property laws. Third-party trademarks, logos, photographs, menu content, and business names remain the property of their respective owners.

    13. Acceptable Use

    You must not:

    • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law
    • Commit fraud, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity or business
    • Scrape, copy, or extract data beyond permitted personal use
    • Attempt unauthorized automated access, reverse engineering, or security attacks
    • Submit false listings, fraudulent opportunities, or fake reviews
    • Manipulate rankings, votes, or ratings
    • Harass, spam, or abuse other users
    • Circumvent subscription restrictions or bypass feature permissions
    • Use the Service for unauthorized commercial exploitation of FTS data

Legitimate search engine indexing and authorized integrations are permitted.

    Business users are responsible for:

    • Accurate listings, menus, schedules, and locations
    • Maintaining required licenses, permits, insurance, and health compliance
    • Food safety, preparation, and service
    • Employees, operations, and customer transactions
    • Taxes and legal compliance
    • Representations made on the platform

FTS does not certify that a business has all required permits or licenses unless we have expressly established a separate verification program.

FTS does not guarantee opportunity quality, event attendance, sales, revenue, profitability, venue conditions, truck performance, payment by another user, or fulfillment. Users should conduct their own due diligence before entering into any arrangement.

    18. Advertising

FTS offers paid placements, sponsorships, promoted profiles, and featured listings. Advertisements are labeled using terms such as "Sponsored", "Promoted", "Featured", "Partner". Advertising does not constitute FTS endorsement unless explicitly stated.
